Engineering Manager

Solarlink Group Inc is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities for photovoltaic modules. This role works closely with production, quality, process, and equipment teams to support production-line performance, resolve technical issues, improve manufacturing efficiency, and oversee engineering-related process and equipment improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities related to photovoltaic module manufacturing, including production processes, equipment systems, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Direct factory-level engineering and manufacturing performance metrics, including production capacity, yield, manufacturing efficiency, and technical performance.
  • Provide engineering direction and technical oversight for end-to-end photovoltaic module manufacturing processes, including stringing, lamination, framing, testing, and packaging.
  • Lead engineering analysis and technical coordination for production planning and capacity ramp-up, applying engineering judgment to resolve technical bottlenecks and ensure manufacturing stability.
  • Lead cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives through process engineering optimization, equipment performance improvement, and productivity analysis.
  • Review and approve designs, equipment selection, production-line upgrades, and technical renovation projects from an engineering and manufacturability perspective.
  • Manage engineering and technical teams, including Process, Equipment, and Quality functions, with responsibility for performance evaluation and technical capability development.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, R&D, equipment suppliers, and technical partners to support engineering implementation, technology transfer, and manufacturing readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electric Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in photovoltaic module manufacturing, automation systems, manufacturing equipment, or process engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or managerial role involving engineering, manufacturing, process, equipment, or quality functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to photovoltaic module manufacturing, equipment design review, and process optimization.
  • Experience overseeing full-process photovoltaic module manufacturing operations, including stringing, lamination, framing, testing, and packaging.
  • Experience reviewing or approving equipment selection, production-line upgrades, technical renovation plans, new process introduction, or related engineering changes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and engineering judgment skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in photovoltaic module manufacturing environments involving BC, TOPCon, HJT, perovskite, or related module technologies.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, equipment lifecycle management, commissioning, validation, and mass-production readiness.
  • Experience supporting lean production, line-balance improvement, process optimization, or continuous manufacturing improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the factory floor, including interaction with production lines, equipment systems, and cross-functional manufacturing teams.

Equipment Engineer, Back-End Production

Solarlink Group Inc is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support the engineering, commissioning, and ongoing performance of back-end production equipment for photovoltaic module manufacturing. This role works closely with the engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure stable equipment operation, resolve technical issues, optimize process parameters, and support new equipment introduction and production-line readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities for back-end production equipment used in photovoltaic module manufacturing, including framing, junction box installation, potting, EL and IV testing, cleaning, and packaging systems.
  • Commission and qualify newly installed back-end production equipment, establish operating parameters, and validate equipment performance against engineering specifications.
  • Apply mechanical, electrical, and control systems engineering principles to optimize equipment performance, improve process stability, and increase overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Diagnose equipment-related production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop engineering solutions to improve yield, throughput, and reliability.
  • Engineer process parameters for various photovoltaic module configurations, including different cell formats, frame types, encapsulation materials, and module variants.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including commissioning reports, equipment qualification reports, process parameter specifications, and equipment performance reports.
  • Coordinate technically with original equipment manufacturers, internal engineering teams, and production personnel to support equipment improvements, technology transfer, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Provide technical guidance to equipment technicians and support personnel on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and engineering standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in photovoltaic module manufacturing equipment, equipment engineering, automation systems, or process engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply mechanical, electrical, and control systems engineering principles to photovoltaic module manufacturing equipment, commissioning, and process optimization.
  • Hands-on engineering experience with back-end photovoltaic module production equipment, including framing, junction box, EL/IV testing, and packaging systems.
  • Experience producing engineering documentation such as commissioning reports, qualification protocols, and process specifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and engineering judgment skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience commissioning new photovoltaic module production lines at greenfield manufacturing facilities.
  • Familiarity with multiple photovoltaic module formats and configurations, including 182mm and 210mm cell platforms, dual-glass, single-glass, and full-black modules.
  • Experience working directly with photovoltaic equipment OEMs on commissioning, technical adjustment, and engineering support.
  • Experience with TOPCon, HJT, BC, perovskite, or related photovoltaic module technologies.
